  • Paladin - Ranged fighter with balanced stats. Uses bows and crossbows.
  • Sorcerer - Offensive mage with powerful attack spells.
  • Druid - Support mage with healing and nature spells.
Tip: Knights and Paladins do not need to train their weapon skills on Chaos OT. The equipment you start with is considered better than any sword or spear until much higher levels. Focus on hunting and leveling up instead!

Cities of Chaos OT

There are 4 major cities in Chaos OT, each with its own purpose and character. All major cities have essential NPCs to help you on your journey.

Chaos City (Starting City)

Chaos City is where your adventure begins. This is the main hub of the server and where most players hang out. The city is home to the temple, depot, and many important NPCs. You'll find the starter hunting areas just west of the temple. The temple basement also contains some of the most challenging hunting grounds on the server for high level players.

Garden Grove

Garden Grove is a peaceful city ideal for lower level hunting. It also features some of the nicest houses on the server, making it a great place to settle down once you can afford one.

Ancient City

Ancient City is a step up from the starter areas, offering hunting grounds suited for low to low-mid level characters. Generally considered the better option of the two secondary cities, it's a solid choice once you've outgrown Garden Grove.

Golgotha

Golgotha is similar to Ancient City with hunting grounds in the same low to low-mid level range. The city is also home to some important NPCs that you'll need as you progress through the game.

Where to Hunt

Knowing where to hunt is key to progressing on Chaos OT. Here's how to get started and where to go as you grow stronger.

Starter Hunting Spawns

The main starter hunting areas are located west of the Chaos City temple. Head west from the temple and at the first intersection, turn north. You'll find 3 teleporters with signs labeling each one:

  • Noobie Area - Start here! This spawn is perfect for your first few levels. Get comfortable with combat and earn some starting gold and experience.
  • Heaven - Once you've outgrown the Noobie Area, head here for tougher monsters and better rewards.
  • Hell - Similar to Heaven, this is your next step up from the Noobie Area. The monsters here will put up more of a fight.
Tip: The Chaos City temple basement contains some of the most challenging hunting grounds on the server. These spawns are designed for high level players make sure you're well prepared before venturing down there!

Leveling Up

Gain experience by killing monsters. As you level up, your health, mana, and capacity will increase. Higher level monsters give more experience but are more dangerous!

Follow this general progression path:

  1. Noobie Area - Your first few levels
  2. Heaven / Hell - Early leveling
  3. Garden Grove Spawns - Low level hunting
  4. Ancient City / Golgotha - Low to low-mid level hunting
  5. Temple Basement Spawns - High level hunting in Chaos City
Don't forget: Visit the Task Master in Chaos City temple to pick up tasks. Completing tasks gives you bonus rewards on top of your regular hunting loot!
